Questvow — RPG Wedding Invitation Collection
A classic-RPG digital wedding invitation line with a brand landing page, a World Select catalog, and four demo worlds that each have their own characters, colors, music, and mechanics.

Why it matters
What makes it stand out.
Four worlds, four ways to tell the story
Each template has its own pixel-art characters, palette, chiptune music, and interactive mechanic — not four cards that differ only by title.
The game supports the invitation
Every mini-game can be skipped, every world has a direct reading path, and reduced-motion settings are respected.
An honest RSVP
Field validation, loading/success/error states, and a clearly labeled demo mode that says nothing is sent anywhere until a backend is connected.
The problem
Digital invitation catalogs usually show near-identical templates with different titles, and game-themed invitations often make it hard for guests to find the essentials — time, place, and RSVP.
Who it is for
Creative and gamer couples who want an invitation that tells a story, and prospective clients who want to try a demo before ordering.
Key features
Title-Screen Landing Page
Animated starry sky, pixel clouds, castle and couple illustration, and a Start Adventure button with a pixel-wipe transition into World Select.
World Select
Four template cards with preview, genre, palette, feature list, interactivity meter, and Play Demo, View Invitation, and Customize This Theme (via WhatsApp) buttons.
Enchanted Kingdom
An opening castle gate, a royal herald dialog, heraldic profiles, a tapestry love story, and a Royal Seal sliding puzzle that unlocks a secret letter.
Moonlight Garden
A firefly-lit night garden, characters who walk toward each other, a clickable constellation timeline, and an untimed firefly-catching mini-game.
Cozy Village Romance
A village street explorable by keyboard or touch, NPCs who share the event details, a quest stamp card, a lantern festival, and a notice board for guests who just want to read.
Final Quest — Together Forever
The flagship 7-chapter demo with character profiles, a quest map, the Collect the Love Crystals mini-game, RSVP, and an ending with an easter egg.
The same approach can be adapted for
- Couples who want a unique, game-themed digital invitation
- A digital invitation service catalog with demos prospects can try right away
- A portfolio piece for interactive storytelling and lightweight, framework-free web games
Concept
Questvow is built around the line “Every Love Story Is an Adventure.” Visitors don’t just browse a catalog — they enter an RPG world, pick a “level”, and play an invitation that tells the love story of two characters.
Each world has its own identity:
| World | Palette | Main mechanic | Interactivity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enchanted Kingdom | ivory, gold, burgundy | castle gate + Royal Seal puzzle | Medium |
| Moonlight Garden | midnight blue, lavender, silver | constellation + firefly catching | Medium |
| Cozy Village Romance | cream, sage, pastel | village exploration + NPCs + stamp card | High |
| Final Quest | fantasy with gold accents | 7 chapters + Collect the Love Crystals | Maximum |
Technical Notes
- No framework: plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Character sprites are drawn from text rows into SVG, so each world gets its own characters without image files.
- One shared base: countdown, Google Calendar + .ics file, RPG dialog box, Web Audio chiptune (off by default), and RSVP live in one file used by every world.
- Backend-ready RSVP: set
data-endpointon the form. Without an endpoint the page shows demo mode and never claims data was saved. The public guestbook shows only names and wishes — attendance and guest counts stay private. - Accessibility: every mini-game is keyboard-playable and skippable; animation stops under reduced-motion settings; canvases stop drawing when off-screen.
What can be verified
- Four demos playable directly in mobile and desktop browsers, with no install and no external dependencies.
- Shared code (countdown, calendar, RPG dialog, RSVP) is reused by every world, so a new template only needs its story and mechanic.
- Fonts are self-hosted so they pass the site's Content Security Policy.
